The Credit Union Growth & Innovation Summit (CUGI) is excited to announce that Jeff Rothmeyer, EVP and Chief Lending Officer at Credit Union 1, will join the speaker lineup as a panelist for the upcoming 2027 event.
Jeff has played a pivotal role in Credit Union 1’s growth since joining the organization in 2020. Under his leadership, CU1 launched a nationally recognized commercial real estate department that has funded nearly $2.0 billion in 1031 tax exchange financing. He also built the organization’s indirect lending program from the ground up, which now generates nearly $300 million in annual loan volume. In addition, Jeff oversees lending operations across multiple business lines, including consumer, small business, residential real estate, participation sales, underwriting, pricing, and quality control.
CUGI is proud to welcome Jeff as a panelist for the keynote discussion titled, “Liquidity Strategy in 2027: Using Loan Participation to Unlock Growth.” This session will explore how credit unions are balancing liquidity management with continued loan growth in a changing economic environment. Attendees will hear how institutions are leveraging loan participation strategies, capital allocation, and balance sheet management to support growth while maintaining sound risk practices.
Jeff’s experience building successful lending programs and leading a national loan participation sales team provides a valuable perspective on this topic. His team currently generates approximately $500 million in annual loan sales across multiple lending sectors, creating liquidity opportunities while supporting sustainable growth. His insights will help attendees better understand how participation strategies can be used to strengthen balance sheets and create long-term value.
Jeff’s session at CUGI 2027 promises to deliver practical ideas and real-world examples for credit union leaders seeking to optimize liquidity, support lending growth, and navigate an evolving marketplace.
